Definitions

  • The Radio and Electronics School shall, for the purpose of this document, be referred to as "The School"
  • This web site refers to http://www.radioelectronicschool.net
  • Owner and Founder of the "The School" is Ron Bertrand VK2DQ
  • Course Manager of the "The School" is Adam Jaroszuk VK4KSS
  • Management means the "Owner" or "Course Manager" of the Radio and Electronics School.
  • Materials refers to any course documents, software, images, text, trial exams, or any other files contained on "this web site" or supplied by "The School".
  • Amateur Radio for the purpose of this document is: -
A hobby based on radio communications technology, operated for the purposes of self training in Radiocommunications, intercommunication using Radiocommunications and technical investigation into Radiocommunications by persons who:-
  1. do so solely with a personal aim;
  2. have no pecuniary interest in the outcome of the operation of the station;
  3. are operated on [specified] amateur frequencies or frequency bands...
  • Radio Amateur refers to persons who participate in the hobby of "Amateur Radio."
  • Scouting Community refers the Youth Scouting and Girl Guide movements world wide.
  • Non profit organisations for the purpose of this document refers to an organisation which provides a service to the "Amateur Radio" or "Scouting Community."
  • Individual refers to a person who is studying to become a "Radio Amateur" or a member of a "Non profit organisation"
  • Backup refers to one single electronic or printed copy of the "Material" for personal use.
  • "Personal use" refers to the person who originally obtained the "material" from "The School" or "This web site"

TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF USE

  • The "Owner" holds copyright to "this web site" and the "materials" contained there in.
  • The "materials"  on "this web site" are free of charge to "individuals" for the purpose of advancing the hobby of "Amateur Radio".
  • Commercial use of the "materials" is prohibited.
  • The " materials" may not be used as part of an on-line course conducted over the Internet, or correspondence course conducted via regular mail.
  • The " materials" may not be used in a any class situation unless written permission is obtained from the "management" first.
  • Backup" copies may be made in an unmodified state with the original copyright notices intact and unmodified and must accompany any printed matter or be contained on any CD-ROM where the "backup" is held.
  • You may not upload, copy, emulate, clone, rent, lease, sell, broadcast or transfer the "materials", or any subset of the "materials", to any web site, bulletin board (electronics or otherwise), library or public place unless written permission is obtained from the "management".
  • You may link to the Radio and Electronics School home page at www.radioelectronicschool.net but not directly to the "materials" contained there in.
Should you wish to use the "material" for any other reason other than for personal private use, please seek permission from the "Owner" or "Course Manager"
